Robert Bosch Car Multimedia is a globally operating division of the Bosch Group. Your responsibilities:

As a software developer you will develop software for embedded systems, typically for products in the automotive industry. One area that is getting more and more attention is the possibility to update the software over the air, both the firmware itself and specific applications.

In this position, you will be expected to:

  • Take a role identifying strategies and designing Software Update and Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) solutions for our software systems
  • Be a vocal advocate in architectural and design discussions
  • Participate in every stage of the software development from requirement analysis, design, and implementation to module and system verification
  • Develop software in C for embedded systems
  • Communicate with other software teams and if necessary also customers

Skills & Background:

  • Master/Bachelor in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience from designing and implementing FOTA algorithms and/or software application update for embedded systems
  • Relevant experience from software development on embedded systems
  • Excellent C programming skills
  • Thorough knowledge of object-oriented development and design
  • Test driven development and continuous Integration
  • Proven record of completing projects on-time and to specification
  • Working in international teams, distributed all over the world
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (working language is English, German will be a benefit)
